The Bazaruto Lodge Hotel is situated on the largest island of the Bazaruto Archipelago, approximately 600km to the north of Maputo, the capital of Mozambique. The island is 35km in length and 7km across at the widest point, and is a little piece of paradise.
There are flights from Maputo to Vilanculos three to four times a week with onward transfer to Bazaruto Island. This transfer is by small 9 seater plane and the flight last approximately 10-15 minutes. The transfer can also be made by boat, departing from Vilanculos or Inhassoro. Both are memorable trips.
